I need some suggestions on the best "off the shelf" laptop to run swx '06 and AutoCad '06. I Don't want to spend alot of money only to find that my assembly won't rotate after only 50 parts or so.
Thanks in advance,
T. Phillips

Prior to my present laptop, I used a Compaq Presario for SW '06, and it worked fine. Maybe not as quick as one would like, but it did work. I did max out the RAM at 1.25GB. It had an nVidia Go graphics card and, though not necessarily approved, it did work.
What's "a lot of money"?

Remember if you find one that does work for SW06, doesn't mean it will still work on SW07 or future versions, because SW becomes more and more demanding on Hardware per each version. If you hardware is not certified, then there is a good chance that your Laptop will crap out sooner, then if you went ahead and spent the money for a good one.
