Laptop for inventor

Hi!

I was wondering that what brand/model of laptop would be best option for mainly inventor usage?

It's not for huge assys, but it would be good to use reasonable display Hz (75 or 85 Hz) and atleast middleway details.

I'm little confused, cause I think that best laptop-videocards are ATI's, but inventor+ati=not good in generally...so what's the truth?

I know the Dell M60's are very popular with SolidWorks users. They use NVidia cards. The M60 uses the Pentium M processor. The prices range from anywhere between $2,000 - $3,500. That's just what I have seen here and there. The word on performance with these is that they surpass quite a few desktop machines. I can't verify that since I don't have one and haven't seen one - again just what I have read on the newsgroups quite often. I would love to get one.

I was thinking Acer Aspire
Intel Pentium 4
512MB DDR 333-muistia
17"TFT - SXGA 1280X1024, nVidia Geforce FX Go5700 64MB


Specs seems better than M60, and price is just good, 1500 € (e)

Battery lasts only 1,5hour, but that's not broblem, only unsure thing is that FX go5700 seems superfast&good in paper, but does it even work with inventor?

The GeForce is a gaming card. The Dell has a Quadro mobile card set. Apples and Oranges. The Quadro wins hands down. I've used Inventor with GeForce laptop cards. It's not pretty.

Also you can't compare clock speeds these days. The M60 uses the P4M chip and is faster than most 3GH standard P4 laptop chipsets.

You're goning to want 1GB RAM min anyway...
