Large scale battery backup question 1

Currently, I'm using a large generator and automatic transfer switch for back up power to a particular motor driven system in a location with extremely dirty / unreliable power. With this method though, the system currently requires a reset whenever the generator is switched on since the switch to backup is not immediate. To limit/eliminate these resets, I've been considering using some sort of 3-phase battery back up, but that gets pretty pricey for the size I'd need (at least 8KVA). Could I please get some recommendations so I can prevent having to constantly reset the system?

You can configure the motor control system so that it restarts automatically once the generator starts.

can you provide a battery backup just for the control power so it will ride through the switch over? That would be a lot cheaper and simpler if you can do it since it seems your backup generator and transfer switch is working just fine for the rest of the load.
