I'm looking into buying a laser scanner and I would appreciate any advice from some current users, like are
you having success with them? What brands? Any ballpark
prices for the equiptment and related software?

Thanks

What purpose are you using this for?I'm working in the aircraft industry, and am using a Leica LTD 500 laser tracker system for assembly inspection. It is accurate to within .0005", and capable of taking 1000 readings per second, generating x,y,&z coordinates or polar coordinates. It has a cost of about 250,000 dollars.Depending on what your applications are, the equipment prices vary. Leica has a website, not sure what it is , but it's worth a try.
