Just a quick question regarding laser overlay welding. I have a request to perform laser overlay to some tubes that will be fabricated under Section 1 of ASME. The process is LBO (Laser Beam Weld Overlay) using a 622 alloy (Hast C22). This is my first exposure to this process when used in an ASME Section 1 process. Looking for input as to whether there is any clarification on acceptance of use of this process in ASME. Also want to make sure I don't miss anything on the WPS/PQR when reviewing this that would be different from a typical one. The PQR lists QW-409 as the laser data. Thanks for any assistance.
