Hello!

Does anyone know where i can find a good source for the lateral capacity of nails on the internet? thanks! Or any internet source where I can compute the capacity myself?

The American Wood Council offers a web based connection calculator off their home page at or direct to the calculator at
You can pick LRFD or ASD and various fastener types. You still have to know what inputs are valid, so if you can't come up with the values on your own, you need to get the wood code and understand where the numbers come from, but it is definitely a good tool to check or get a start on a design.
