Can someone explain what's happening here?
I'm using AutoCAD LT-2005 and am moving drawings from one companies title block to another companies.

When I copy a drawing to the new title block the line type layers on the drawing being copied do not show up correctly. Specifically what is happening is a dashed line shows up as a solid line on the new drawing. The properties say it is still a dashed line, but when it is printed it looks to be solid.

the old drawings'scale is 1" = 40'
the new dwg's scale was 1/2"=1' (but I resize it to fit around the old drawing.)

Adjust your global linetype scale to reflect new scaling factor using Ltscale command at the prompt. A value less than 1.0 makes the dashes and spaces smaller and more than 1.0 will make dashes and spaces larger. Hope this helps - John

You might also want to check PSLTSCALE if you have the titleblocks in Model Space. Setting Psltscale to 1 will allow you to see the dashes in Paper Space as well as in Model Space. If you work this setting together with linetype scale as CADSTUDENT has written, you may have the solution to your problem.

Hope this helps,
Paul
