layers not alphabetized

In certain dwgs the layers are not alphabetized. Why is this and how can it be fixed? It's not too bad in some dwgs, but with dwgs w/ lots of layers, it's a pain in the #*!.

Sorry, they are not alphabetized in my pull down part of my toolbar.

Increase the setting of your MAXSORT variable to a number greater than your number of layers. Say 500?
