Layout relationship with Pro/Notebook

Dear All

When I try to Enter Pro/E Layout Mode, I get the error that this functionality requires Pro/Notebook license.

What exactly is the relationship of Pro/Notebook with Layout? Pro/Notebook license is really required for Layout or somethings wrong on my end?

I have Pro/Engineer Foundation Advantage Package license. I was just thinking, May be Layout functioanlity requires Advanced Assembly Extension license of Pro/E. Am I right?

Or there might be some settings in config.pro file to be made in order to utilize the Layout functionality?

You are correct: Layouts require Advanced Assembly licensing to work, as they are a tool for top-down design, which is only available using AAX.

Pro/Notebook is the sub-program within Pro/E that controls layout creation (a layout is also called an "Engineering Notebook").
