I have the following question.
When designing a lead phase controller in the z-domain with root locus and you want to use the bisector method, which lines do you draw.
If you are on the s-domain you draw a line from the origin s=0 to your desired pole and then draw a parallel line to the x-axis with constant frequency.
So the parallel would be to draw a line from the origin of z-domain meaning z=1 and a constant frequency line which would mean a straight line starting from the center of unitary cycle z=0 to our desired pole.
Also another question that i have is this.
When determining the zero and the pole of the controller should the zero be left of the second biggest pole in the real axis. For example if you have a system with poles at -1 and -5 should the zero be -(5+ε) where ε>0 so as to maintain that the poles are going to be the prevailing ones?
