I've been doing GD&T drawings and have been able to use the leader type toolbar option up until today. (IE:suction cup leader, surface leader, etc) usually this toolbar would appear automatically when I activated the text palette but it's now gone and yes I checked behind the text editor window. Is moved so far offscreen that I can t see it? How do I get it back? Thanks in advance.

Sure would be nice to know the version of NX you're using since this has changed over the years.

Some people are like slinkies....they don't really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Yes, whenever you're asking a question that directly involves the use of NX, could you please provide the version number. As mentioned, things change between versions and it helps to know what we need to look at in order to try and help you. And don't worry about how far back you are. I have versions of NX/UG going back to UG V16.0.4.2 installed and running on my system.

Sorry, I'm running NX3. I have found the annotation attachment toolbar but the one that stopped appearing is the one that would come up automatically when the text editor was started.

With the Text Editor open, go to Tools -> Customize... and near the bottom of the list of 'Toolbars' look for one named 'Annotation Placement'. Is the check-box to left of the name checked or not? If not, select it so that the check-mark appears and then close the Customize dialog.

If the name 'Annotation Placement' WAS checked, then the toolbar should be somewhere either docked somewhere or floating, perhaps off screen.

This question was asked and answered earlier. I too faced this problem and got it corrected by changing the screen resolution.
MB3 on the desktop->Properties->Settings, change the Screen resolution to 1600 x 1024 (or any higher values), open ug and try to create annotation, now you can see the "annotation placement" toolbar. Now dock the toolbar and you can switch back to your original screen resolution.

Found it after using John Bakers procedure above. Before I did not have the text editor open when going into tools > customize etc. The toolbar had gotten docked and then pushed way down line so I had to jockey some toolbars around to find it. Thanks all.
