I was wondering as to why a table on a VFD datasheet is specified with leading power factors (as high as 0.95 leading). These leading P.F.s are specified against certain % of full load speeds and equivalent losses (in kW) are also specified along with them. I initially thought these were typo errors but I doubt that.
I just need a brief explanation on how to interpret this table and understand some technical reason as I thought if I operate a motor with VFDs, regardless of speed, the PF should be lagging, not leading.
