I would like to have leading zeros on all of our dimensions but so far I have ran into a couple of snags. I'm using SW2003 SP 5.0. First, can leading zeros be added in the ANSI standard? I don't want to add manually because I want it for all dimnensions, I want to change it in the template. I can get the leading zero with the ISO standard but then my dimension sets on top of the dimension line, I would like to have it centered on the dimension line. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

in your drawing,Go to Tools>Options>Document Properties Tab>Detailing

In the upper left box titled "Dimension Standard" there is a drop down menu for leading zeroes. Change this to "Show".

This info is based on SW2004 sp0. I don't have 2003 installed on this machine so I can't verify that this option exists in the older version.

Just checked my SW2004 and it has that option, SW2003 doesn't. Hopefully some other issues with SW2004 will be resolved soon so I can switch.

SWx2003 has this option, too. Have a look on it, it's on the same position as in SWx2004 ;-)

Not in my SW2003, it has the drop down menu for trailing zeros, but not for leading zeros. SW2004 has both.

Is there a way to get rid of the trailing zero's in a hole callout. The process above doesn't seem to work for a hole callout.

I'm running SW 04 sp 3.0

You should have started a new thread with this question. but to answer it:

There is no way to control the hole callout tolerances at this time. Maybe in future versions this will be possible. Till then put and ER into SW. Enhancement Request.

Since this delt with the zero issue then I thought it would be ok. Thanks though

"Is there a way to get rid of the trailing zero's in a hole callout."

As an option, you can select the hole callout and then change it's precision to use fewer decimal places. Although, this would have to be done to each callout note seperately

MElam, I've found that one but I was hoping that I could do it throughout the whole doc at one time.

FYI on changing information inside a notepad document. You can go to Edit\Replace if you have opened your Calloutformat in Notepad.

In the "Find What:" box you type in what you want to find.

and in the "Replace With:" you type in the text you want to replace it with.

Click "Replace" or "Replace All" and it replaces it

But I don't think there is away to get rid of the zeros in the Calloutformat file.
