How do you turn leading zeros off as a customer default? You can change the setting for a particular file by going to Preferences --> Annotations --> Units, but how do you do it for all new files? (running NX 6.0.5.3, MP 1)

Recommended for you

Go to Customer Defaults and using the 'Find Default' tool (binocular icon in the upper right corner of the Customer Default dialog) search on 'leading zero' and you will find where this can be set.

But remember, even if you make a change here, you have to make sure that you are actually using that Drafting Standard when you're creating and annotating your Drawing.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Also, be aware if you are using a template part. There is a setting in the customer defaults to override the part settings and use the setting in the customer default. If this option is not set, you will get whatever was used in the template file.

Thanks - I believe the issue had to do with the Drafting Standard not being updated correctly.

(we just rolled out NX 6 into our production environment on Saturday and are sifting thru issues)
