Learning Cosmos

I am looking to learn more about Cosomos. Is there any books out there that you can recommend for this.

COSMOSWorks, COSMOS-M, flow, thermal....... which particular flavor are you looking for?

Do you have previous FEA experience and if so how much?

Try going to Amazon.com and doing a search. You also get previews to look at.

You might seriously consider taking a class. This might sound expensive, but if you end up with a major goof due to inappropriate analysis it will cost you a WHOLE lot more.

FEA is interesting. It's like making a Lego brick model of the real thing. FEA software will give you a very accurate analysis of your Lego brick model. Problem is if your model does not correctly represent the real thing, neither will the analysis results. It can fool you into a false sense of security and major problems. The issues can be very subtle.

I agree. Learning Cosmos and learning FEA are two entirely different things.

If you don't know what to ask the program to solve for it is very easy to get the "right" answers to the "wrong" questions.
