Mechanical

i was recently hired with a company for my automotive troubleshooting and mechanical ability.
I am used to the electronic control circuits in the automotive industry but that is it.
The job is using some complicated hydraulics with electric and electronic controls. The company expects to train me to do the tech service job but i feel way over my head.
Does anyone have any advice as far as books or online material that could help me learn?

Perhaps the quickest way for you to pick-up the fluids portion is to analogize fluid flow with electric flow for example flow-to-current, pressure-to-voltage, once you understand the fluid components function, you can figure out how that is similar to an electrical component.

Take a look at my Basic trainig book at:

It is being presented a chapter approximately every 2 weeks as an Ebook on that site.

As monkeydog said fluids relate to electrical and I try to stress this as I teach a class of electrical apprentices every year at a local company.

I have a bunch of links and am trying to continue adding links to my site for people with hydraulic questions at my site.
Here is the link:

If others of you out there have links that you recommend please feel free to add to the list. I'm going to add the ones listed above here also.
