Leaving OSB Concrete Forms in Place?

Any thoughts, opinions, pros or cons on leaving OSB concrete forms in place for concrete footings that will be backfilled (sides and tops)?

Never good. Voids, water and even frost action may bring eventually some bad effect.
 
Yea, I would say don't do it.
You really don't want your foundation surrounded with rotten wood.
 
Another consideration is the form ties. They are typically designed to be broken 1" to 2" inside of the face of the concrete and then the voids patched. If the form is left in place, so is the tie creating the potential for corrosion and concrete spalling. This can be a long term problem.

Best to remove them.
