We're using AASHTO's new design/rating software called OPIS/VIRTIS primarily for load rating work on about 1800 bridges in our part of NY. We're finding particularly large discrepancies between ASD and LFD in rating 20-30 ft span, non-composite structures. I'm looking for any good reference material which compares these two design philosophies?
