Has anybody heard of License Manager having known issues with maxing out the cpu on W2K servers? I've got a two year old compaq server, and around a year ago, we installed the license manager. There were times the machine slowed down to the point of not being able to use it. The cpu would jump to almost 100%. I have to hard boot the machine then because users can't access the server. We've had other problems with this server, so I didn't think about Solid Works. With a tool called process explorer, I was able to find lmgr.exe (May not be the correct spelling) was hogging the cpu, and when I killed the process, the machine went back to normal. This morning I moved the license manager and dongle to a different server, and the Compaq seems to be working better. Has anybody seen this issue? thanks

Hello,

I haven't heard of this. I strongly recommend you contact your VAR. Even if you don't have a support contract they should help you with a critical problem of this nature.

cheers,

Joseph
