The ISO 6336-2 standard mentions that the life factor for long life should range between 0.85 and 1; where 1 stands for optimum conditions and 0.85 stands for critical service where pitting lust be minimal. Does anyone know why 0.85 is the minimum value? can you take a lower value like 0.7 or 0.6? and how to decide that?
