Ok guys, here's a quandary... I've set up a dummy model for you to have a look at. Think of an old-fashioned telescope. The telescope has four sections: part one (the outer one) is fixed. Part two slides in/out of part 1 by a limited distance. As part 2 extends, it takes parts 3 and 4 with it. Once part 2 hits its extent, I want parts 3 and 4 to begin extending AT THE SAME TIME.

I was hoping to achieve this with another limit-distance mate on parts 2-3 then an equation from 3-4 made equal to the limit distance OR (as in my dummy model) apply a driven dim then make the final mate equal to that.

In this scenario, part 2 slides out as I want but when I slide out part 3, part 4 doesn't move in a 'live' manner. If I hit ctrl+Q it updates to the correct position... Once I have the motion I'm looking for I want to animate this in a motion study.

So, how can I create the motion I want? HELP!

Thanks,

Tom.
