linear motion brake-clamp-holding methods

I'm designing a positioning device using

=> end-supported linear rails like Thomson products
=> integrated rail/supports with a hand-cranked ballscrew

I want to move it a location, then clamp it in place.

Can anyone suggest methods to do this or products available so that I don't have to re-invent the wheel?

I am in the midst of a gage design with the same issue. What I came up with was an L-bracket that follows in a U-Block. Then have 2 thumbscrews that force against the L. Simple, easy to make and should be effective.

Other ideas included a T-slot, dovetail, or similar...

Use the URL and click on the Spieth Clamping Sleeve button and then the Catalogue button in the upper right hand corner. Look at fig 21, page 14 in the catalogue. The Spieth products are a little expensive but they do the job.
