We're thinking of trying the Emunds & Staudinger linear shoring system for trench shoring. In the US it is E&S Linear Slide Rail System. Anybody have experience with this? Things to watch out for, types of ground it is not good for, problems driving it down, problems pulling it out?

E&S is clearly the leader in Linear shoring.

Some advantages to this system over alternative slide rail systems are:

Ease of installation and extraction, particularly in a linear application.
This is tha case beacause of the open profile on the posts versus double channel on other systems.

Little or no damage during use.

The ability to swing the panels in from the side is a key advantage in situations where overhead structures are an issue.

I have used many differant systems and feel I have earned the right to state E&S is by far the best.

As an alternative to sheetpilling, beam and plate or other
systems, E&S is the only way to go.

Hope this helps.

If you need more insight let me know,

Ibar, thanks for your response. We will have to wait for another job to try E&S shoring. We have to shore for a bridge footing in the middle of a freeway and have decided to use soldier piles and plate to avoid cross struts and also it saves having to close an extra lane of traffic which costs $10,000 per day.
