Hi All,

I would like to ask if anyone has experience with the performance of lined CS pipes in very sour gas service (>15% H2S). As you know the pipes are welded (no seamless for such diameters, 36 in)?

What would you recommend? Any standards or papers discussing such thing?

Regards,
A

For what specific purpose is the 'lining' intended, and what type of material is under consideration?

Steve, Thanks for the reply.

625 cladded CS is being proposed as options other than full 625 pipe for cost reasons. My main concern is the spiral or seam welds on the pipes, the possibility of clad disbondment and any specific requirements for the CS (e.g. killed?). I would like to hear the others opinion and experience about the viable options (full 625 or clad CS? What about lining with Poly, GRP ...etc.?) in such very sour environment and large pipeline.
