I am at a loss for this. The lineweights on a drafting sheet we received from an outside source are "all fat". Model outlines, dimensions, annotations are all fat. Other drafts we received are not. I assume it is a toggle or setting saved with the file but I cannot find it. Any help on this? Thanks.

There is a show lineweights option that can be toggled on or off under Visualization Preferences. It can be quite helpful to ensure that line weights are represented to company formatting rules without having to plot.

These settings might get saved with the part which might account for why you only see the problem sometimes.

I found that if you "Restore down" your UG window on a PC (Un-maximize the window by hitting the dual boxes in the upper right corner next to the "X" button) reduces the line width. I have no idea why this would do anything, but everytime I printed (not plotted) something, the line weight and text was so thick it was almost illegible. After printing is done, just hit the maximize button(upper right corner next to the "X" again) and keep going.

Intimidator, you are correct.

We had the same results. Running UG NX2.0.4.2 on a Win XP OS.

Add this line to your ugii_env.dat file.
UGII_WMF_LINE_WIDTH_SCALE_FACTOR
Set it to a value of .1 to .3. Adjust for best results.

NX3 doesn't seem to need this for printing.
