Good Morning,

I am looking for some advice for a type of valve or design.

I have a sealed machined box style enclosure. It contains liquid. The enclosure has 2mm walls all around, i.e. top, bottom, left and right. The enclosure has a overall height of around 45mm. So with the top and bottom walls there is around 41mm space inside. (I think this is the problem / difficulty as no wall thickness for thread etc). There is no space for adding anything outside the overall height. If i machined in more material to allow for a thread I wouldn't draining from the base so would be useless as it would leave a lot of liquid remaining inside. I need a way of connecting something to the enclosure that will allow me to drain it. The enclosure has an internal pressure of 0.5 bar. Any thoughts on a clever way of doing something like this?

Many thanks.

One idea:
If you have space available for it inside the box you could fasten a bored bar or tube from top to bottom inside the box.

Sidewise openings to the tube boring inside the box for drainage. Plastic or plastic sealed plug inside the boring as valve, turned by inserting removeable hexagon key. No part higher or lower than the box.

Parts mounted during fabrication of box (glue or welding), or afterwards by boring straight through the box.

Is it true a tiny box, 45mm height? Can be shared a sketch of your box and design?
And, how the box is pressurized at 0.5 bar?

A drawing is needed. You want to drain liquid but seem to indicate that a low point bleed is not plausible. How do you intend to defy gravity?

Thanks,
Ehzin
