So I did my research this time around. I found some threads that are right up my alley, but they are old, and closed.
I have a C5 Corvette with the LS1. I want to supercharge it, and believe the higher octane rating of propane would allow more boost, and possibly more HP. From the other threads it seems Turbocohen has already done a similar set-up on a GTO with an LS2 (not sure if it was forced induction or not). I plan to use EFI Live for tuning, as this would allow me to adjust all the nesessary parameters.
What type of values did you tune for? (AF ratio or O2 voltage, ignition advance, ect.)
Franz: On one of your posts you suggested ICOM as one of the LPI kit suppliers to look in to. They use Clean Fuel USA as thier distributor, but I can't find anywhere on Clean Fuel's site that suggests that they sell the smaller systems depicted on the ICOM site. Everything they sell seems to be for large, commercial applications. Are these smaller, automotive systems available in the US? Any insight as to where I should look?
Are the advantages of going with this type of set-up going to be worth the money in terms of power gain (if any), and price per mile (again if any). Will any of the government grants apply to me since I'm not retrofitting a fleet of work vehicles?
Thanks in advance for your help. Hopefully I will get some helpfull advice this time around.
