The parameters provided are 1290 m3/hr of pump flow rate, The application consists of products like air, vaporize water, oil, alcohol. The air suction load is said to be 14-17 l/min. No ratios or values provided for the other product compositions. The suction temperature is at 80 deg Celsius and the service water temperature is estimated to be +/- 36 deg Celsius.

Assuming vacuum drying is to be carried out and a liquid ring vacuum pump is to be utilised, what are the considerations that needs to be taken care of to go about sizing an appropriate liquid ring vacuum pump. Are there any assumptions we could use to check the solubility of oil and alcohol with water? Theoretically, do the parameters make sense or are there changes that we need to carry out ?

Hi,
Consider the document attached, probably good to get support from a chemical engineer.
Good luck.
