Does anyone know whether the use of "slagcement" (ground granulated blast furnace slag), would reduce the corrosive effect of molten sulfur on (sunken) concrete containment tank, or would have benefits with regard to cracking as a result of the temperature differential between molten sulfur, (300 degrees F.), and the soil surrounding the tank, (potentially freezing)? Also, what does variable "z" represent in design of reinforced concrete? (Something to do with re-bar spacing? Should be limited to z=90?)
