liscence and stamp requirments

Recently I was approched by a superior and asked if I would be willing to pursue aquiring a stamp for new construction of power boilers for our company.
I have always been on the construction side and not the buisiness liscening side and before I commit I would like information or advice.
Can some one offer information (USA)?
