Hello,
In the near future I might get to design a multicylinder system for a mobile hydraulic application. The problem is, I am new to hydraulic and know very little about hydraulic system design. Could somebody recomend me a good and simple book or website on that matter (something like hydraulic design for total dummies), so that it is easier for me to read the more complex stuff?

Thank You all in advance.

Oh me oh my..!!!

I'm all for education and promoting benefits of good hydraulic system design, but we have to draw the line somewhere.

If you know nothing about hydraulic system design, you can't attempt to design systems from scratch. Ask if you can shadow someone that knows what they are doing.

If you get it wrong, you'll put yourself in trouble.

People would never ask such questions if the subject matter was electrical engineering, why they feel it's acceptable to "dabble" in hydraulic system design is beyond me.

It's fluid power and the power is dangerous. It's not something to take lightly.

By all means read the books and study the websites, but do not think that you will be qualified to design a system.
