Live load distribution?

Hi all!
I have a question about live load distribution according with ACI318 and ASCE7 (I am not familiar with the codes).
When designing R.C moment frame of 3 story building, should I check the structure for all combination of live load that may critical (checkerboard distribution of live load)?

In general, yes. ACI 318 Section 8.9 gives live load pattern requirements. Section 13.7.6 gives live load pattern requirements for two-way slabs analyzed by the equivalent frame method.
