Is it permissable in this forum to solicit input from users of a particular brand/model of CNC Lathe regarding its reliability and ease of use? For example, let's say I'm interested in the level of satisfaction among users of a well known lathe that comes equipped with a Fusion 640 Controller and at least some minimal capability for milling. Is it a fairly easy graduation to live tooling programming from the conventional CNC lathe programming?

I don't think there is any problem in giving specifics of the machine. If you don't, we cannot discuss details!

I have 16 years of experience in programming CNC MAchine-tools, including turn-mill centres. Programming a turn-mill centre is is fairly simple if you are only considering indexing the spindle (point to point operations). If you have any specific problem on your hand why don't you give it?
