Hello All,
I'm currently working through the current hypothetical scenario.
There is an LNG Regasification Import Terminal on a small island, this terminal supplies gas for the purpose of additional power generation during peak seasons. The Regas facility has been scoped to supply peak loads. However, as seasons vary the the output of the gasification facility varies. For example, at peak the facility would process 8300m3/day (185MMscf/day) of LNG, the send out rate would be 7190m3/day (150MMscf/day) of gas for the purpose of power generation. Through processing of the LNG 1310m3/day would be seperated out into NGLs or used for fuel gas (835m3/day).
My question revovles around the fuel gas. If the island was to need only half of the facilities capacity at a certain time, ~ 4000m3/day. How much fuel gas would I still need to supply my facility with processing power. Would I only need 1/2? Does it scale linearly? exponentially? or does it even scale at all?
Please note the facility power is being generated from a generator turbine unit, with the Turbine model being a Solar Taurus 70 supply ~ 7.5MW.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for your input everyone. I'm looking for a solution suitable for a high level desktop model.
