Hello,
I'm trying to determine whether i need 2 load break elbows on a single phase pad mounted 28kV/16kV transformer with an open point. The transformer is one of many in a subdivision. It is at the end of a run and is not connected back into the phase to create a complete loop. The company standard that i have is designed for the transformer to be fed from both sides and have an open point, where as the one in question won't be fed from both sides until a few years. The standard states that the transformer will contain 1 elbow surge arrestor, 1 parking brake surge arrester, 2 bushing inserts, and 2 load break elbows. Now since i am not connecting to the transformer from both sides, what do i change/eliminate from the transformer? Something is going to change and i think it may be a removal of one of the load break elbows but im really not sure. Can anyone clarify this issue for me?
Thank You very much to anyone who replies,
Tyler
