I am an application engineer for a hydraulic component company. I am looking for some help and some technical information on how to calculate axial loads generated in wheel hubs mounted on the front of agricultural machine, actually self-propelled crop sprayers that are using large diameter tire 14.9R46 (34.2 in radius) during sharp turns in field. I have search the web to fine any technical publication on that subject without any success. I know how to calculate the weight transfer on the wheels and define the radial loads, but I have a hard time to picture how to calculate the axial loads that are in this application critical because of the large tire-rolling radius. Could someone help me? Thank you.
