I've searched on this for hours, but have not been able to find the right answer. I created my own toolbar file with a text editor that utilizes journals. I can load it and it works fine, however I have to re-load the toolbar everytime I start UG. I have checked my user.mtx file and it is listed in there and I have 'save layout on exit' toggled on, but none of this works. Please help!!!

OK, you need to create a folder (any name will do), say on the D:\ drive, that contains a folder named 'startup' into which you place your custom .tbr file(s).

Now set the following enviroment variable in your system/user profile...

UGII_USER_DIR=<path to the first folder you created above>

Now when NX starts it will also load your custom toolbar into memory. Note however that you will still need to go into Customize to make sure that your custom toolbar is actually visible (toggled ON), which will be recorded in the .mtx file.

Hi krickard ,
I suggest you to use the new xml file.
You can import legacy .dat material into the xml file.

Thank you...

Using NX 7.0.1.7 MP3 and TC8.1
