Hi Yogi3377-

#1, you may have better luck in the Electric Power & Transmission & Distribution or Electric motors, generators & controls engineering forums for your questions. There are recent discussions of software for relay settings, etc.

#2 To my knowledge, there is no single software that does all of your requests, much less for free. There are trial and demo versions of software out there and discussed above.

#3 In my experience, many times the protection settings for GT come directly from the manufacturer, who has most intimate knowledge about their own machine and how to properly protect.

Try the search function within this forum, or simply browse through the topics in #1.

You may find free SW available for your brand of relay protection, or your type of GT available from the manufacturer. Some manufacturers charge money for this. Manufacturers of relay test equipment have dedicated (proprietary) software for testing relays and is generally sold with the test instrument. There are, however many free documents available which discuss these topics in detail and this forum in general is a very good place to start.

Good luck

In the US it is important for the generator protection engineer to coordinate the protection with the Transmission protection engineer.

But it is true that some of the specific settings should come from the GT manufacturer.

Because the backup generator protection is much broader than the differentials, they can trip for a transmission fault, which could destablize part of the grid.
