Hello

My model is composed of two steps. the fist step is static general, while the second step is implicit dynamic.

My model is similar to uniaxial compression test. two rigid platens are one of them is fixed and the other one can move only in the vertical direction. there is a contact (friction coefficient ) between the deformable sample and the rigid platens.

I need to make the final value of the load reached in the first step constant in the second step. I apply pressure in the first step which is 1000 psi

i used amplitude

total time amplitude

0 0
1 1
0.01 1

However when i checked the external work i found that it is not constant in the second step, it increases.

the external load should be constant in the second step.

so what is wrong?

please check the external work on the model.

sorry typos in the time and amplitude.
