For running a load-unload simulation of a plastic material. Is nonlinear study the right one? I used displacement control and ran a model using this study I gave my sample 2.5% strain and then I set this strain go from 2.5% to zero, and I had an error indicating:Solution failure in a step>1, it could be due to:
The solution may be at a buckling or limit point, i.e., displacements grow large under constant forces. If so, for force control or contact problems, this is the end of solution(check out the response garphs).
Stiffness singularity difficulties:
1-reduce the singulairty-elimination- factor(0.5 or0)
2.For plasticity models, raise:ETAN>Ex/100.
3.For nitinol , or large strain plasticity, set:
Maximum-starin-Inc.=(or>)1.(0.01 defaults to 1).
