Hi,
I am presently designing a structural module and got struck with loadout anaylsis. just wanted to check if anyone has done this before would love to get more insight of all the possible consideration and references. If anyone has some sample calculation would be of great help.
thanks

I am working on modularisation of a structure. I have a mining steel structure which we are prefabricating and will be transporting it from road.

I want to know how to do the Load in /Load out analysis.

YOu dont design the 1 st level beams for spmt loads??
how is the stability taken care of?

For overturning and sliding check during transportation, it's normally taken care by transporter like Mammoet.
Mammoet will ask you where the COG of your module and total weight, in terms of plan and height, the module’s COG has to fall within the SPMT’s stability triangle.
You should know what’s the max slope angle expected in the route, and what’s the SPMT dynamic impact factors, longitudinal, transverse, and vertical, from Mammoet. Those factors are related to the SPMT moving speed.
Once you get these info, you can apply lateral loads in 3 directions and check your module.

In terms of 1st level beam check, I suggest you ask Mammoet for the section modules of SPMT’s spine girders and incorporate them into your model. You can put springs at the SPMT wheel locations. Someone goes for the reverse system: apply SPMT reactions as load and weak spring at top of module. I personally don’t think it’s a good approach.
