Local laws and regulations

As a professional engineer, when we execute industrial projects (oil and gas) on different states, we must design in accordance with the local laws and regulations. One of the my biggest problems is to determine where can I find the laws and regulations for the location where the project is installed. Does anyone knows of a website that list the applicable laws and regulations state by state?

Yes. Assuming this is for pressure equipment (you haven’t mentioned a real scope);

Thanks XL83NL. you post is very helpful. You are right I did not mentioned the scope, but I was referring to pressure equipment and piping design codes.
