Hi,

In the hydro test table for B31.8 piping code, the column F for maximun design factor has values ranging from 0.4 to 0.8 depending on whether it's class 1, 2, 3, or 4. What are those numbers multiplied by, in other words, how are thos numbers used. Is it multiplied by the SMYS that was used to calculate the DP from code pressure equation? or...?
Thank you.
