lofting a part that splits in two...

Hi! I read a lot about advanced lofting, all the articles by Ed Eaton. I'm trying to model the more organic products. I wonder how you would make a part that branches in two, and make the branch look totally natural. I mean that you cannot see that one piece is glued to the other.

This could be difficult depending on your requiremets, but I would suspect that you can accomplish this using multipl lofts using the centerline option. and the centerline would be defined in a master sketch that includes the branch points. Each loft would require you select different elements of course of the master sketch and then having those elements converted into a new sketch.
