Lofting a tubular transition

I am attempting to create a drawing(ipt) for a tubular grab handle and have attached a file to show the form as far as I've taken it.
I having trouble lofting the transition from full round to the flattened section and no one in my work group (maybe that's why it ended up on my task list)seems to be able to help. Can someone explain the procedure so I can understand?

I got it part of the way there, I would need to spend more time on it than I have right now to fix/finish it.
