This method is one of two methods used at Barrick Golds' underground Rodeo Creek extension of the Miekle (Meikle?) portion of the Goldstrike Complex in Northern Nevada, USA.
I am looking for an explanation and diagram without any success.

…Unfortunately, I am not able to find a good animation video (or otherwise) on long-hole open stope mining. I have provided a link of the World Gold Council diagram of long-hole stoping (located in the middle of the linked page).
