Is there a way to change the smart dimension window to get rid of the
the spin increment wheel feature and to not have to wrestle with the other pop up
info that seems to appear, like whether I want rad or degrees... (just want degrees)
anywhere in the options to fiddle with these preferences anyone knows of?

Also.... I believe there was an option to show the bodies folder in the feature
mngr tree, even if you only had one body.... anyone know how to turn that on?

Thanks very much.

thanks CBL. Knew it was there somewhere.... just couldn't remember where.

So no options to change the dimension window, I'm assuming?

Thanks.

okay, thanks.... seems like there is a lot of information that pops up there
and kind of gets in the way of the task at hand.

toycept,

If you see something you'd like added to SolidWorks, the ideas submission for SolidWorks World 2013 Top Ten is still open until the end of Dec 4th. Voting on ideas for Top Ten begins on 5th.

Also, you can always submit Enhancement Requests anytime via the Customer Portal.

All this is assuming you are current on your subscription, but I'm guessing you are since you are talking about 2013.

Okay..... done.

The window that pops up when you're creating a dimension has a lot "clutter" that pops up with it
(in 2013, I don't remember this occurring in 2012 or before)... with the spin wheel, the choice of Rad
or Degrees... the units of measure.... too much info that gets in the way. This window should be
customizable so you can have only the measurment showing, if that's all one wants.... and of course
a way to change that measurement. If one wants all that other stuff, there's an option to add / activate it.

Toyvept,

If Solid Bodies or Surface Bodies is set to Automatic it will only show when more than one is present. Set it to Show to always see the folder. For the dimension box you can have it not prompt you to input dimension value and just use Instant3d for modifications. Maybe if you set the Dimension Defaults for Angular Units to degrees with 0 decimal places it won't try to offer rad.min.sec?
