Is there another good guide for Bin/hopper design?
I have the Tubular Steel Structures by Troitsky. The text and the example in Appendix B, Page 7-62 for bunkers has so many typo errors you almost have to re-write the book to follow it.
Thanks

Another good reference is "Design of Welded Structures" by Blodgett.

The ACI 313-97 is a good document (Standard Practice for Design & Construction of Concrete Silos and Stacking Tubes for Storing Granular Materials). While it does not cover steel design it covers the loadings very well. The steel design is just like anything else you design with steel unless you get into round stuff. By far the best I have ever seen is Gaylord & Gaylord - Design of Steel Bins for the Storage of Bulk Solids. It is out of print. I will not tell you how I got mine but your local university engineering library probably has it and I am sure you can think of something....
The Gaylord Structural Engineering Handbook also has a small section on it that is useful, but if you are going to do much work at all I think the Gaylord and Gaylord book is by far what you will need.

This is an older book(1989), but has some good info.
