I have a box, and the box contains a circuit board that allows you to be able to control a boats motor with a throttle. Its a throttle sitting on top of a circuit board, and the circuit board is located inside of a water tight box. In order for someone to be able to hook it up to the rest of the boats electronics, they have to screw the top off of the box with the circuit board inside, and then connect all of the wires individually into the board. There are 15 total inputs on the board (3 sets of 5). I want to get some 6 way (or ideally 5 way, but I haven't seen any so far) connectors that are water tight, and then I want to cut some holes into the box and install them so that the user can input the female end into the bottom of the board without having to open it up.

I want to get:
3 - male, airtight connector housings
3 - female, " " "
6 - pin terminals to connect to both the male inside the box, and the female outside of the box

The housings themselves would have to have some sort of a piece that would allow me to screw them to the board. Does anybody know where I could go about getting something like this? I live in Canada, and ideally would be looking for a local distributer to me (Vancouver), but also, just manufacturers that would be selling these products or even if someone has seen something like what I am looking for. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks very much!

Attached is a document with various Deutsch connectors and their Caterpillar part numbers. Pages 8 and 9 show the 6 pin connectors you're after. The pins and sockets are in there also, further along. There are little white plugs available that will seal the unused wire hole in each connector. I'm sure these are available elsewhere, but your local Caterpillar dealer might be the most convenient.

I'm not sure about a deutsch connector that would attach directly to a board...you will likely have to run some short wires between the bulkhead connector on the box and the board itself. It will be a female receptacle, containing male pins, that will mount to the box.

Look on ebay, I buy Deutsch connectors there all the time, easier if your looking for small quantities. I'm also not sure about directly connecting to a circuit board, but they have lots of options. There are a number of flange mount multipin connectors available, the DT series is what is most common for what I see, the HD series (round body) is also used to a lesser degree.

Ladd Industries is the US distributor, they have always been helpful
