Looking for a type of valve...

Hi,

I'm looking for a valve that is ring shaped and about 4-6 inches across if I remember correctly. One face of it is flat and tapered at a slant and has a bunch of little holes in it. I was told that CO2 is pumped through it at high pressure creating a vacuum behind it to remove gasses that accidentally get released in chemical plants. Can anyone tell me what such valves are called, and possibly where they can be obtained?

Thanks for any help!
David

I don't believe so. In this photo:

the valve itself is at the bottom of the discharge tube, where the CO2 line is attached right by the cut-off valve, so you can about how big it is. They make smaller valves too and people build smaller confetti cannons with them as well. The smaller size is more what we need. At this point I'd be deligthted just to find out what the things are called....

You are looking for a venturi tube (same as ejector).

I was told that's what they are mainly used for, so that's what I thought. Aren't they? Doing a search for venturi tube ejectors I still haven't been able to find any. Where to look other than the links people here provided?

Thank you for that! Know what to call them, now it's a lot easier to find them. Do you know if there might be used ones available any place?

Try craigslist, ebay, or a used equipment dealer.
